Some interesting information:( This applies only to the "pencil blasters," by the way. )If you don't have an air compressor, you'll be interested to know that we've used a PBH2000 pencil blaster for the past year in our own studio without an air compressor ourselves. Here's what we do: We pick up either bottled compressed air or nitrogen - whichever is cheapest - from our local supplier, attach a regulator to the bottle and the blaster to the regulator ... and go to work! A regulator costs about $50 and the bottled air or nitrogen about $18. The propellant lasts a long time because the blaster runs best at 70 p.s.i. and needs only 1.5 c.f.m. to operate. This is a very inexpensive way to run the blaster without needing an air compressor! |
